Our customer, a global research institution who employs over 7,500 employees, is not only an economic leader as one of the largest privately held employers in New Jersey but is also a draw for hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.
Our customer is seeking an InfoSec Engineer for a Hybrid Consulting opportunity. This position is slated to run for 6 months, with possibility of extension.
The InfoSec Engineer, in support of our customer’s Security Operations (SecOps) team, will be responsible for:
• Assisting in proactive security measures to reduce risk
• Using our customer’s suite of security tools to identify and mitigate cyber threats
• Participating in some monitoring of ticket queues applicable to their role
• Working with ISO leadership to brainstorm engineering improvements
• Working individually and as part of a team
Essential Qualifications
• 5-7 years of Security Operations/Threat Hunting experience
• CISSP or GSE Certifications
• Experience with LogRhythm (or similar SIEM), CrowdStrike, and Rapid 7
• String background with Security Forensics tools
• Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• A commitment to professional customer service
• Strong communication skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent previous experience required
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with ExtraHop Network Monitoring
• Experience with technical writing and documentation
• Experience in a higher education setting.
